My Why Journal
As a parent, one of my biggest fears has been that…
… I would raise my kids in such a way that they don't want to open up to me and talk. It's so easy shut our kids down with one-word answers, or "because I said so's" when the questions feel like they will never end, and they always seem to be asked at the worst times! But my fear has left me with an ongoing conviction: The responses I give to the little questions will determine whether or not my kids feel comfortable asking me the big ones. I wanted to create a tool that would help me encourage my kids to ask their questions because I want them to know that they matter to me, and their questions matter too. That's why I created the My Why Journal.
My Why Journal is not only the key to opening the door of communication and building strong relationships with our children, but:
A beautiful keepsake to treasure for a lifetime.
An opportunity for children to ask questions and parents to provide an appropriate response when they have the time to do so.
A tool that will allow parents to sit down and have intentional time with their kids while also reminding them that their questions matter, and they are worth taking the time to answer.
Parents, the days are long, the questions are tedious, but the years are short and our answers matter! Let's make them count.
