117. Putting it all on the Line with Jesse Johnson-Brower

When you are in the thick of it it is hard to see how God is orchestrating your life. How would you think someone who graduated high school with a 2.0 GPA would turn out? What about someone who cleaned windows and hung out with people who worked all day and drank all night? Someone who joined the military on a whim? What about after the military, someone who struggled with addiction?

You could look at any of those and society would write them off, but God doesn’t. He has a plan for us all. I’ve heard this saying “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called”. That definitely applies to Jesse Johnson-Brower’s life story.

God used Jesse’s experiences to shape him into who he is today. With God’s guidance through mentors, Jesse is now a successful business owner, and runs a nonprofit called LifeGR. He is also a great husband and father of two boys.

His non-profit, LifeGR, serves those who have served, whether it is the military, veterans, or first responders, LifeGR serves them through counseling and therapy in cutting edge ways. Using Adrenaline and Peace therapies. His wife also works with women, whose husband’s have served through her SheWillStay program.

Also, on August 13th, Jesse is raising awareness for LifeGR and serving those who serve us, by walking from Ground Zero to Flight 93 to the Pentagon. That is roughly 500 miles in 30 days, finishing on the 20 year anniversary of 9/11.

Also, we often verbally say “thank you” to those who serve us. Maybe we buy them a meal, or pay for their gas. But we can do more. We can consistently say “thank you” every month for the price of just two coffees. Our military and our first responders put their lives on the line for us. To protect us. To help us when no one else can. To fight for the freedoms that we often take for granted. In today’s world they are underpaid, and vastly under appreciated. They deserve more than $7, but every $7 helps them get the help they need to live and enjoy their lives. You can use the link below to donate a simple $7/month “thank you”.
