86. Topic Recap: Turning Your Trials into a Victory Story with Larry Rose

Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do innocent babies die of cancer? Is my life hard as a result of my poor decisions? Should I just throw in the towel?!

We are wrapping on our first full month of Thursday Focus Topics today, and while we know you LOVE to hear from us (wink), we also thought it might be a good idea to recap with someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

There is so much that we can learn from each other, but at the same time, it’s extremely important that we continue to root our beliefs in a solid foundation. That being said, as promised, at the end of each month we are going to recap our topic with a professional and have them help us finalize our conclusions by tying them to actual scripture.

Today, we had the amazing opportunity to sit down with my very own grandfather or “Pappy,” Larry Rose. My Pap is extremely knowledgeable, but even more importantly than that, what he teaches is straight from the word of God. He has been an unwavering resource and mentor to us over the years, and I am so grateful to have him in my life.

Ultimately this month, we have learned that we can in fact choose how we respond to the trials in our lives, and we can make our trials into victory stories. Let’s close this topic out by rooting it in scripture.
